On 03/10/12, McCutchen Sexton Napurano – The Law Firm sponsored the yearly Project Child Seat Safety 2012 at the Wal-Mart Supercenter located at 8301 Rogers Avenue. Vehicles with anxious participants started lining up long before the event was scheduled to start at 9 AM. There were 2 Fort Smith Police officers that are certified car seat technicians along with 4 Van Buren Police officers that are certified car seat technicians in attendance at this event. On hand were numerous employees from McCutchen Sexton Napurano – The Law Firm and several volunteers. After reviewing the forms filled out by participants and technicians, there were a total of 115 child safety seats inspected. Out of the 115 checked, there were a total of 81 car seats replaced or given to participants for various reasons such as being out dated, the wrong fit for the child or on a current recall list. Out of the 81 seats given, McCutchen Sexton Napurano – The Law Firm purchased 25 convertible car seats in which 21 were given away. The FSPD provided 60 various types of car seats to participants. This event was a great success!!
