An collision that occurred between Fort Smith, Arkansas and Moffett, Oklahoma resulted in the injury of a driver after a semi-truck struck him. A man was driving his Pontiac Sunfire on September 15 when a tractor-trailer crashed into his vehicle on Highway 64 over the Garrison Avenue Bridge.

The Moffett Police Department responded to the accident that evening. The driver of the Pontiac was extracted from the vehicle using the “jaws of life” due to the crushed state of the vehicle.

The driver was taken to Sparks Regional Medical Center to seek treatment for his injuries. While no reports regarding the extent of the injuries have been produced, it is suspected that they are not life threatening. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured from the collision.

Accidents resulting from the reckless driving of 18-wheelers can be serious incidents due to the size and weight of these semi-trucks.
