A toddler in Davenport, Oklahoma was involved in a freak lawnmower accident when a riding lawnmower hit him outside of his family home. The accident left him with multiple injuries. Not yet two-years-old, the boy was found by his sister and grandfather, the town’s fire chief. Richard Bailey, grandfather of the young boy, had 25 years on the job and was able to wrap his grandson in a towel before getting him the appropriate medical care.

He was airlifted to a local hospital and later sent to Children’s Hospital where he is now recovering from his injuries. He is showing improvement and is expected to be released from the hospital soon. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
