In 2002, 63,000 children under the age of four were involved in automobile crashes. If the adult in the vehicle happens to be seriously injured and unable to talk, emergency personnel will have a difficult time identifying the child or retrieving vital information that could help the rescue efforts go more smoothly. At McCutchen Napurano - The Law Firm, we are dedicated to improving child safety, which is why every year we host an annual Child Seat Safety Event.

Starting this year, to prevent a child from being unidentified or misdiagnosed in the event of a car accident, we will be equipping each car seat with a “We Have A Little Emergency” (W.H.A.L.E.) ID kit. The kit will contain a medical information and emergency contact number sheet that can be attached to the back of the safety seat. You will also be given two car seat W.H.A.L.E. stickers and two vehicle window stickers to stick on the car seat and windows. As soon as emergency responders notice the W.H.A.L.E stickers, they will immediately be aware there is medical information on the back of the car seat about the child.

This program is nationally recognized and is an easy way to ensure children involved in auto accidents receive the best and most efficient care possible.
