A car chase earlier this week began after a car smashed into a Fort Smith home and fled the scene. The driver of vehicle was 25-year-old Raylon Triplett. He was driving inside of a Fort Smith neighborhood when he lost control of his car and ran it directly into a home on Meadow Drive.

At the time of the accident, a girl was in the driveway. It was reported that she had minor injuries and has been released from the hospital where she was seeking treatment. Additional damages occurred to the house and the two cars in the driveway. The scope of the damage is still being determined by investigators.

Triplett is being charged with 5 offenses during his arraignment hearing. These include: simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver, felon in possession of a firearm, fleeing, and second degree criminal mischief.
